Portugal: Setúbal, “Immigrants on Board”. Debate on foreign access to residency and healthcare

The Secretariat for the Pastoral Care of Migration of the Diocese of Setúbal and the Scalabrinian lay group of the Parish of Amora are promoting the “Immigrants on Board” initiative, which will take place on 1 June at 8 p.m. in the hall of the Church of Saint John Baptist Scalabrini in Cruz de Pau. The “problems immigrants have to face in accessing basic healthcare and in applying for temporary residence permits are two issues that will be openly discussed by the speakers and participants; there will be the testimonies of those who have personally experienced these problems and a panel of guests available to answer questions from the public”, the organisers said in the event’s briefing note.Valentina Bombelli
