The Frankfurter Buchmesse, Frankfurt International Book Fair, the exhibition dedicated to the most important European publishing market since 1949, is underway from 11 to 15 October. The Prefect of the Holy See’s Secretariat for Communication (SfC), Monsignor Dario Edoardo Viganò, is in Frankfurt this afternoon, 12 October, to attend, as a guest of honour, the meeting with religious publishers, both Catholic and non-Catholic, organized by the Bayard publishing group, which publishes the daily “La Croix” in France. “It is a significant moment – Mgr. Viganò told SIR news agency – organised by Bayard, a group that promotes a series of apostolic and missionary activities in Africa. A valuable opportunity for knowledge and to build relations, also in view of the days which will be held from 24 to 26 January at the Marian Shrine of Lourdes, where we will reflect on the theme of truth. A theme that is in line with the message of the Holy Father for the 52nd World Day of Social Communications, ‘The truth will set you free’ (Jn 8:32). Fake news and journalism for peace’”.
