Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, announced it from the floor of the EU Parliament, gathered in Strasbourg for its plenary session. The EU Commission has drawn up a report on the progress made by the Balkan country, which “reported significant progress” in its approach to the European Union. “In the last few years, we have stepped up a gear, in the run-up to the enlargement”, Von der Leyen points out. “But saying we will open our doors is not enough, we must guide and support these countries”. Finally: “the future of Bosnia Herzegovina is in the European Union”.
